In my career, I have worked with individuals who have severe & chronic mental illness, women, families, children, and individuals who identify with the LGBTQ+ community. I have also worked with youth in foster care specializing in finding a temporary, short, or long-term placement, as well as providing in-home stabilization services. IMG-3234.jpg

I understand the barriers that individuals face due to inequalities, lack of accessibility, financial support, as well as lack of mental health awareness. Having knowledge of these known barriers, I utilize a person-centered approach alongside the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness meditation, and motivational interviewing. When working with youth, I use play therapy through drawing activities, use of dolls, and puppet play to broaden communication. Every client will have individualized treatment plans according to their needs.

I aim to change the stigma around mental health and the need for therapeutic services through compassion and creating a judgment-free zone. That can start with you!

Qualifications

In 2016, I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Delaware State University.  In addition, I obtained my Masters of Social Work degree with a concentration in Urban Children, Youth, and Families from Morgan State University in 2020. I am also a member of Phi Alpha, The National Honors Society for Social Workers.
